Program > Objectives

General objectives:

-       The goal of this workshop is to bring together world-leading scientists working with unconventional or new models to understand the origins and evolution of metazoans. During this workshop an update of new genomics approaches will be made and recent advances in the development of new biological models will be presented. Another goal of the workshop will be to share expertise in the development of functional assays in these species.

-       A round table will be held about controversial issues concerning metazoan emergence and phylogenetic relationships.

-       This workshop will also be an opportunity for young scientists to present oral communications and posters if selected.

Pre-registration is required and the scientific committee will select the participants on the basis of the abstracts submitted. The registration fees include full accommodation, meals and shuttles in a very beautiful location on the coast of the French Riviera.
